Based in Skelmersdale, Walker Engineering are specialists in the design, installation, maintenance, and fabrication needs of the North West and beyond. Operating on a national level, we are proud to deliver mechanical and electrical services across the length and breadth of the country. Due to the scope and scale of our delivery, Walker Engineering is determined to ensure we demonstrate a high level of commitment to our planet and the environment.

As a part of our ongoing adherence to improving our business and services, we have recognised a need to become more sustainable and more conscious of our carbon emissions. With increased pressure on business utilities, overheads and costs, and supply chain pressures, we have partnered with the University of Liverpool to work collectively on a Clean Growth Project to evidence the steps we are taking in order to become more environmentally aware.

Through premises adaptations and fleet conversations already in process, we are committed to our ongoing improvement, keeping our high-quality standards at the centre of everything we do. A successful Clean Growth Project will provide us with both a framework and recommendations for innovative technologies that can be applied to our business model and operations, allowing us to actively reduce our carbon emissions.

Collaborating on this project with the University will allow Walker Engineering to identify adaptations that need to be implemented for both a sustainable and commercially viable purpose.
